Timothy Dalton and Steven Berkoff have joined the cast of GK Films’ “The Tourist,” starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, and co-starring Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell. Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, “The Tourist” is being produced by Academy Award®-winner Graham King and is currently shooting on location in Venice, Italy. “The Tourist” began filming on February 23rd in Paris for one week before continuing onto Venice. Sony Pictures will distribute the film.
Timothy Dalton has starred in such films as “The Lion In Winter,” “Wuthering Heights,” and “Jane Eyre” among others. However audiences around the world recognize him for his memorable portrayal of agent James Bond 007 in the franchise pics “The Living Daylights,” and “Licence to Kill.”
Steven Berkoff is a veteran British actor of the stage and screen, delighting cinemagoers for many years for his portrayals of film villains. Berkoff ‘s range of many film credits include “A Clockwork Orange,” “Barry Lyndon,” to “Octopussy,” and “Beverly Hills Cop.”

Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell have joined the cast of GK Films’ romantic thriller “The Tourist,” starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
Paul Bettany won a BAFTA nomination for his performance in “Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World” opposite Russell Crowe in 2004. His credits also include Sony’s recent release “Legion,” the three time Academy Award® nominated “The Young Victoria,” “Creation,” “Wimbledon” and Ron Howard’s Academy Award®-winning “A Beautiful Mind.”
An accomplished actor on the stage and screen, Rufus Sewell was recently seen in Wes Craven’s segment of “Paris Je T’aime,” Michael Apted’s “Amazing Grace” and Nancy Meyer’s “The Holiday.” He starred in the critically acclaimed BBC production of “The Taming of The Shrew” for which he was nominated as Best Actor for a BAFTA Television Award. His previous credits include “Downloading Nancy,” “The Legend of Zorro” and “A Knight’s Tale.”

On 23 February 2010 principal photography began on GK Films’ “The Tourist,” directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
“The Tourist” revolves around Frank (Depp), an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise (Jolie) is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Venice, Frank pursues a potential romance but soon finds himself the pursued as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.
“The Tourist” is a GK Films presentation in association with Spyglass and is produced by Graham King, Tim Headington, Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Jonathan Glickman.
Sony Pictures will distribute the film. Studio Canal is also a partner on the production.
The film will shoot on location in Paris and Venice.
